TFM Audio Filter 1.0 beta 8
TFM Audio Filter is a DirectShow filter enabling you to perform real-time audio stream processing.
The main purpose of this filter is reducing the sound dynamics of a movie soundtrack, so speakers are protected from harsh frequencies and loud sounds that could lead to serious damage.
Another major reason why you may want to use this filter is enhancing voice frequencies.
TFM Audio Filter normalizes audio streams levels and a perfect sound balance is ensured, for a great movie watching experience.
Hear voices clearly and don’t see your speakers ripped apart from their chassis when loud explosions are featured in movies.
TFM Audio Filter is compatible with all DirectShow-based media players, which is more than 90% of all players. Regarding compatibility, the TFM Audio Filter and the Morgan Multimedia Stream Switcher should not be installed both to your computer, at the same time.
The main features of TFM Audio Filter are channel effects, amplifying audio levels and a graphic equalizer. The channel effects featured in TFM Audio Filter are reverse channels, sending audio signal from left channel to left and right, sending audio signal from right channel to left and right, forcing audio signal to mono and muting left or right channel.
The amplifier helps you boost audio power and the ten-band equalizer features some presets for eliminating the treble or the bass from the output audio stream.
In order to configure the TFM Audio Filter, use the Settings_Filter.bat file or do it during movie playback. Changes are enabled only after the video player is restarted.
Many of the TFM Audio Filter’s features have been included into newer video players and the application has not been developed anymore since 2004.
This filter is recommended to anyone using an older media player and wanting to normalize audio stream for a better movie watching experience and speaker safety.
