Snagit 2024.2 Brings Major Improvements

The latest Snagit update introduces a range of new features designed to enhance video and document management.
 

A key highlight is the new video recording engine, which supports 60 frames per second, paving the way for improved video quality.

Users can now easily identify and reorder videos in the Combine Videos window, and create new videos directly from selections on the video playback timeline. Moreover, page breaks have been improved to ensure content isn't cut off when printing or saving PDFs.

The update also brings faster loading times for Snagit's share destinations, along with the ability to enable or disable these destinations without restarting the application.

The user interface has been refined with an updated account dropdown menu in the Editor, replacing email addresses with profile photos and adding an option to check for product updates.

Compatibility issues with the "New" Outlook for Windows 11 have been addressed, with new messaging alerts for failed image sharing.

Performance Improvements and Bug Fixes

Snagit now installs and updates more quickly, thanks to performance enhancements. Accessibility has also been improved, with the Share dropdown now supporting screen readers.

For IT administrators, a critical fix resolves issues with silent EXE installations via PowerShell, ensuring smoother deployments.

This update includes several important bug fixes, such as resolving startup crashes, correcting template numbering issues, fixing Evernote sign-in problems, and improving video synchronization. 

Enhanced tooltips now work consistently, and share destination icons are reliably visible in the Editor toolbar. The Grab Text feature has also been fixed to function correctly when using the Cut Out tool, ensuring all features operate smoothly.

Overall, these updates bring major improvements to Snagit, focusing on user experience, performance, and reliability.
