Alparysoft Lossless Video Codec is an extremely helpful tool which allows you both to compress and decompress video files.
The encoding techniques used by this codec make it superior to HuffYUV and produce compression rates 1.2 – 1.5 times better.
Alparysoft Lossless Video Codec has two encoding modes: a mathematical and a visual lossless one.
If you choose the mode without mathematical losses, the output is identical to the original files and the compression ratio varies between 2 and 5 times.
If you are satisfied with a visual lossless mode (the human eye doesn’t detect any changes), compression ratios range between 5 and 15 times.
When it comes to encoding, the Alparysoft Lossless Video Codec provides you with a wide range of options. Aside from allowing you to choose between lossless and visually lossless compression, you can select between 6 compression levels. The highest the compression ratio, the lower the encoding or decoding speed.
During decoding, you can use the vertical flip video option. The video can flip upside down because of multimedia equipment and software peculiarities.
Other options making you work easier are enabling auto detect (it disconnects the usage of the multimedia extension of AMD and Intel processors), debugging (debugging and housekeeping data can be recorded in a file), log filename (it indicates the location of the file where debugging and housekeeping data is recorded to), browsing file, viewing log and clearing log, all applying to files where debugging data is recorded.
The Alparysoft Lossless Video Codec has not been updated for a long time and most multimedia users opt for other tools nowadays. This application was considered excellent at its time and it may still be helpful for some users.
