CUETools allows you to work with CUE sheets and to perform various operations, such as creating, encoding and converting.
CUE sheets offer information about audio files and about audio CDs layouts.
Thanks to CUE sheets, disc images preserve all the information from the original source.
CUE Tools supports the most popular file formats: WAV, APE, WV, FLAC, TTA, M4A, TAK and WMA.
This lossless audio and CUE sheet format convertor prevents the loss of important information, no matter what input and output formats you choose.
Additionally, this piece of software supports any CUE sheet style: embedded; single file; gaps appended, prepended or left out.
Audio files in a directory without a CUE sheet can be processed as well, and RAR archives can be handled without needing to extract files from them. As a condition for supported formats, audio needs to be 16-bit, 44.1 kHz samples stereo.
Other advantages of CUE Tools are the intuitive and well-organized interface; the possibility to import files using either the file browser or the drag and drop method; importing album images from AccurateRip, FreeDB and MusicBrainz databases; generating CUE sheets for each track or for the entire album; creating lossless and lossy files plus performing hybrid conversion; extracting embedded CUE sheets and repairing file names in a CUE sheet that has been converted to another format.
Moreover, by installing CUE Tools to your computer, you can also benefit from CUERipper, which helps you edit metadata found on an audio CD and submit it to various online databases.
CUE Tools is necessary to anyone converting audio CDs to other formats. By using this application, you will make sure that you don’t lose data during conversion and that you continue to store information about content, track length and gaps.
