DVD2SVCD 1.2.3 build 1
DVD2SVCD is a frontend for various tools which convert your DVD movies to the SVCD or to the DVDR format.
The input file formats supported by DVD2SVCD are DVD, VOB, DVB, AVI and MPEG.
The output provided by DVD2SVCD can be DVD, SVCD or VCD.
DVD2SVCD can also convert from NTSC to PAL and it offers support for 2 audio stream and subtitles, including permanent ones.
Creating SVCD files usually takes a long time and it requires extensive knowledge, but DVD2SVCD has made things easier and it allows almost anyone to transform DVD contents into SVCD files which can be burned on regular CDs.
All you need to do is to insert the DVD, choose the number of CDs you prefer, configure options and start ripping and conversion.
Other options that DVD2SVCD offers are chapter support (DVD chapters and fixed chapters), Titlepicture and Change CD picture support, downsampling audio from 48000 to 44100 and creating overlapped CDs.
As mentioned before, DVD2SVCD is a frontend which packs various powerful utilities, such as DVD2AVI, bbMPEG, VCDImager and BeSweet. The actions performed by these applications are ripping, audio processing, audio and video multiplexing and preparation of SVCD images.
Aside from the components it packs, DVD2SVCD needs to be completed with an encoder. Without an encoding program like TMPG Encoder or ProCoder, DVD2SVCD doesn’t run. You also need to use a reliable burning application, as DVD2SVCD creates CUE and BIN files that need to be burned to CDs.
DVD2SVCD takes your DVDs and provides you with the necessary SVCD input for CDs. It doesn’t do the entire job from beginning to end, but it solves a great deal of the problem and it eases your work.
