DVDx is an efficient tool for converting DVDs to common video formats that is perfect for less experienced users. Create VCD, SVCD and DivX files from your DVDs using this intuitive GUI.
DVDx is a powerful conversion tool and it allows users to transcode videos directly from disc, to decrypt and copy Blu-ray, HD-DVD and DVD discs to their computers, and to extract audio tracks from various video files.
The output formats you can choose from are varied: MP4, MPEG4/AVC (H.264), AVI (DivX/Xvid), Apple QuickTime, iPod, MKV etc.
Other options that help you enhance your videos are correcting wrong aspect ratio, removing black borders, burning subtitles into video, adding subtitle tracks to videos, correcting corrupted media files and so on. You will be able to use all these tools due to the tutorials provided by DVDx and if you are an advanced user, you can even use open tools.
The application works quite fast, except for the few minutes it needs to load files from the DVD. In the end, it does its job faster than other similar software tools. It takes about half an hour to convert a DVD to another format.
The latest versions of DVDx come with some changes, such as Blu-ray/DVD/HD-DVD 1:1 ISO copy and decryption, the converter button now opens converter with current file, added QuickTime (MOV format) support to H.264/AVC and H.265/HEVC profiles and added new video profile: h265.ini : H.265/HEVC (HDTV).
DVDx should be your choice if you want a conversion application that is easy to use and which does its job fast. With this program, you will be able to back-up your DVDs easily and get high-quality results even if you are not very experienced in converting video files.
