MMCompView is obsolete. It is recommended to use its successor: InstalledCodec.
MMCompView offers you information about the multimedia tools installed on your computer, such as codecs and ActiveX filters.
Moreover, you can use this application to enable or disable components of these tools.
MMCompView is portable, which means you don’t have to install it to your computer.
Instead, just keep the executable anywhere on your local disc or on a portable memory device and run it when necessary.
MMCompView will display for you all the multimedia components installed on your system.
The interface of this application is very simple and easy to work with. You will be able to check a list of codecs and filters and information about these tools, such as name, description, file and product name, company, size, date of creation etc.
There is also an exporting option which allows you to store the data in a text file.
