SIF1 Video Codec is a flexible application which can be used with any software in order to edit and view video files.
This compression tool integrates perfectly in the Windows collection of multimedia drivers and works with any media player based on DirectShow and Microsoft Video.
The first version of SIF1 Video Codec was released in 2000 and its developers had as a purpose finding new approaches for video compression.
Consequently, they created a new class of image compression algorithm known as “SIF conversion”.
This class of algorithms is found between traditional algorithms and algorithms that divide source image in sets of objects.
Various compression engines based on SIF conversion have been created over the years and the best one was used to develop this codec.
The last version of the SIF1 Video Codec is 1.20. For this final release, the codec supported vertical resolution which is not a multiple of 16; it had different motion detection engine presets; motion detection engine was optimized for multithreaded operation; multithreaded modes of an entropy codec operation were added (up to 8 threads).
Moreover, SIF1 Video Codec 1.20 was added checking for correct input so the decoder doesn’t crash on corrupt or invalid files, and turbo first pass mode was added, because it is two times faster than second in two-pass mode.
The sharpness and detail of compressed image became possible due to the new PsyRD extrapolation engine.

SIF1 Video Codec 1.20
The compression rate is WONDERFUL, however it was not a proper to recored the HDTV Stream, as too many frame skipper when recording.
I tryed many different configuration, but not enough to recored 30 frames per second.
I would recommend you to use x264vfw which is relatively good compression rate and still record 30 frames/second. And that variety of user configuration included.
