Top media player!

ZPM is the most flexible multimedia player you can get for Windows.

If it doesn't suit you, then you are just unable to configure it. Best zooming, best time stretching, best filter stacking, best keyboard shortcutting... fast and without making any compromises.

I recommend the legacy install method to make it full portable and you are ready to go after a new OS installation. Ignore unmaintained language packs, this will confuse yourself and it's just making ZoomPlayer buggy - the almost only negative point plus it's not free (use a kg, try it, then to hell buy it or not...).

I hate commercials and just want to make you a little more clever than the mainstream.

I have about 30 other well known software players on disk and I try to be up to date with all of them but ZPM on my main PC has my love. XMPlay my heart. ;)

Zoom Player is a DirectShow 32 bit only (no 64 bit version yet..) Windows player; it's reliable, quite fast, with really few bugs, works perfectly with madVR (high quality video renderer) and MPC Wasapi Audio renderer.

The menu is rich of options (in a positive way), in advanced mode it's probably one of the players with more possibilities of real custom settings (ex. Zoom Player can change the Pixel Aspect Ratio of the display in a very precise way, not many players have this function as for 2019).

IMHO the GUI (graphic user interface) could be a bit improved, but it's really a minor point. All in all a very good video player.

NO VIDEO. In spite of many emails to tech support and extremely complex and technical suggestions, still no video. Worthless product.

Zoom Player has a place so you can control the speed as well as video.

I do wish they would make one change.

If you have a music video that someone is saying playing a bass and is playing it toward the side that it would turn it so you could see it right from the front.

Installs snap.do without notification.
Hijacks IE and search links.
Uninstall leaves all the crap behind.

Evidently, the only way to get installs on this lousy product is to sneak in Trojans. Therefore, the applications author is also a POS.

Version 8 is very stable for me and does everything I need. Just a bit of getting used to it :)

This player's filter management is f**king retarded! why can't they keep it simple like mpc-hc does?

Everything else, from speed, playlist, and some extra functionality is top notch but that retarded "smart play" break it for me. :(

The program said this Trojan was "removed" from the file, so I don't know if the install program still functions yet. Obviously no matter how good it is, I give it 2 stars for propagating viruses

Very unstable if you try to use slow-mo, pause/play and resize video. There are better options

I already had almost all players and Zoom Player Home MAX 6 is the best player of world.

Pros:
You can choose exactly a codec or decoder for audio and video for each format (DVD, MKV, AVI, etc..).
The equalizer works with any format, unlike another players. By the way, many players never even equalizer has.
The Media Library is perfect. I have a Media Center and with my Asus Remote Control I can control all the functions. I can navigate by my movies, shows, pictures all in Media Library from the bed, excellent. Media Library also gives access at the context menu of Zoom Player, you can select the audio stream, language, etc, it's perfect for a remote control.

I have a machine with a 1.2 GHz CPU which ought to be adequate for playing back videos using software decoders, but in practice I find that various media players that I have tried have a problem of excessive CPU load giving jerky playback. This is particularly a problem with DVDs. Free products like the DScaler mpeg-2 decoder and Media Player Classic give particularly poor results when playing DVDs. Commercial mpeg-2 decoders like Nvidia have a much reduced CPU load with the Cineplayer DVD decoder 2.3.1 having the least CPU load. However, each new version of WMP becomes more bloated and feature rich thus demanding more system resources and cancelling out the improved performance provided by the Nvidia and Cineplayer decoders.

ZoomPlayer is a lightweight rendering engine with no built in codecs and filters and which places less demand on system resources than WMP. There is a noticeable improvement in rendering of movement compared to WMP for all formats. A DivX4 movie that was unwatchable under WMP 11 is adequately presented by Zoomplayer. Zoomplayer provides the ability to select from more than one source of codecs installed for each format so that you can experiment for best performance. For instance, I deselected the Nero codec for DivX and instead selected the latest DivX 6.4.3 codec to produced enhanced playback of my DivX4 movie.

There is no limit to the number of video and audio formats that can be played back since the choice depends on how many codecs you have installed. When you first install Zoomplayer your system is scanned for the most important codecs and you informed if any are missing. You are then given the opportunity to automatically download and install the missing codecs of your choice. Not really any more messy than WMP install. You can use products like XPlite and Nlite to get rid of WMP leaving just WMP 6.4 so that you can install the WMV and WMA codec pack.

Zoomplayer also has a stylish and unfussy Gui with skins available.
